Privacy notice
Last updated 28 October 2026
This notice explains what personal information Kerbside Digital collects when you use this website or ask for a demo site, what we do with it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Kerbside Digital is run by Tom, a self-employed sole trader based in the UK. For the purposes of data protection law, Kerbside Digital is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
For any question about your information, email tom@kerbsidedigital.co.uk.
What we collect
When you request a demo site, the form asks for your name, business name, website, email address, phone number and vehicle trade.
When you contact us by email or phone, we keep the messages and any details you choose to share, such as information about your business, installs or accreditations.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
We don't ask for, and don't want, any special category information (for example health details).
How we use it, and why
- To prepare your demo site and get in touch about it. You've asked us to, so we process your details to take steps at your request before any contract.
- To follow up on your enquiry, for example a call or email about your demo or a quote. This is in our legitimate interest in responding to people who've contacted us, and we keep it relevant to what you asked about.
- To deliver the work if you become a client, and to invoice you. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To keep financial records that HMRC requires us to keep.
We don't sell your information, and we won't add you to a marketing newsletter without your consent. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site and handle enquiries. They only process your information on our instructions:
- Resend delivers the demo-request form to our inbox by email.
- Vercel hosts this website and keeps short-term server logs.
- Our business email provider stores the enquiry emails we receive and send.
- Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, it's protected by the UK–US data bridge or by the standard contractual safeguards approved under UK law.
We may also share information where the law requires it, for example with HMRC.
How long we keep it
- Demo requests and enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted after 12 months.
- Client records and invoices are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as HMRC requires.
- Hosting logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then deleted automatically.
Cookies
This site doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Some images and videos on the site are loaded from third-party content delivery networks, which receive your IP address so they can send the file to your browser.
Personalised review links
When we send you a personalised review link, we record when it is opened, whether on a phone or computer, how far down the page you read, which contact buttons you use and any figures you enter in its calculator, so we can follow up at a useful time. Your browser stores a random ID so repeat visits aren't counted twice. We don't use this for anything else, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict or stop using your information, or object to how we use it;
- ask for your information in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email tom@kerbsidedigital.co.uk. We'll reply within one month. It's free in most cases.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We'll update this notice if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
